Nebraska Poets at Indigo Bridge
Local poets Greg Kosmicki and Marjorie Saiser will be at Indigo Bridge for a reading and signing!
Originally from Alliance, Nebraska, Greg Kosmicki currently lives in Omaha, where he founded The Backwaters Press in 1997 as editor and publisher. He has been a published poet since 1975 and his work has appeared in such magazines as the Chiron Review, Connecticut Review, New Letters, Nimrod, Poetry East and Paris Review. He is the author of four books and eight chapbooks of poems and was a recipient of artist’s fellowships from the Nebraska Arts Council in 2000 and 2006. Garrison Keillor read two of Greg’s poems on The Writer’s Almanac. The current One Book One Nebraska selection, Nebraska Presence, was co-edited by Greg and published by his press.
Marjorie Saiser’s new book, The Woman in the Moon, contains poems which look at ordinary things (even the moon) in a new way. Saiser tries to write every day. The operative word is try. Her poems have been published in Poetry East, Poet Lore, Rattle, Briar Cliff Review, and on her website, poetmarge. She received the Mildred Bennett Award for contributions to the literary community in Nebraska.
