Cake & Death Discussion
Cake & Death is a monthly discussion on human mortality. Each month we enter into a variety of conversations on this delicate and somewhat challenging subject in a safe and welcoming environment…and there’s cake from Rabbit Hole Bakery!
The launching point for this month's discussion will be the loss of life that occurs during natural disasters. When these events happen we witness multiple tragedies. As well as the deaths attributed to the impact of the act of nature, the loss of life resulting from the localized chaos is often much greater. These resulting circumstances complicate situations that would not ordinarily be life-threatening. Each individual life is precious, and yet, dealing with death in large scale emergency operations requires efficiency for the sake of the survivors.
